Given the recent issues associated with the Winston Salem/Forsyth County Schools Board of Education, and the financial situation, I felt it was important for someone with and extensive Audit/Compliance background to run to provide some much needed oversight.

I have over 30 years' experience in Audit and Compliance, with the majority of that in the financial industry. I know how to ask the tough questions, and also when it is necessary to dig deeper to get the correct answer(s).

I no longer have a student in the school system, which will allow me to make the difficult decisions as I am not concerned about what is best for MY student - but rather what will be best for ALL students.

I WILL do my best to put the needs of ALL students first.

I will listen to ALL concerns and work with those citizens to make improvements.

I will NOT back down from making the difficult decisions - even if they may cause some initial sort-term pains. It will take time to get out of this hole that has been dug.
